Take back of batteries in accordance with the Battery Act (BattG) (info sheet)

According to BattG, we are obliged to inform you about the regulations and obligations for the disposal and return of used batteries and accumulators.

End consumers are obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries according to §11 BattG

Contaminated batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin under which the chemical symbol of the heavy metal contained is (Cd for cadmium, Hg for mercury and Pb for lead).

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries can be delivered free of charge at any designated collection and return points.

Of course, batteries and rechargeable batteries you have received can be returned to us after use.

Near the trash can symbol is the chemical name of the metals contained in the battery.
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium.
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005% by mass of mercury.
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 mass per cent lead.
 
Disposal of electrical appliances
